January Letter
Hi! Happy lunar new year 💫
I’ve spent most of January at home playing with my cat, organizing my home, and starting to look at my 2021-2022 archive - the work I made over the last couple of years feels to me like a direct continuation of my book Puberty, and I’m excited to see what shape it will take as I edit it.
Speaking of my book, there are 5 days left to take advantage of Yoffy Press’ new year sale 🧡 use the code “HAPPY 2023” at checkout to get 20% off Puberty (& all the books in their catalogue!) until January 31st.
& thank you to Lucie Foundation for shortlisting Puberty for their 2022 book prize!
I did a big overhaul of my print store over the last month!
Tons of new posters, stickers & stationary, magnets, and even a little sale section 👀
You can also purchase large framed signed limited edition archival prints of my work via Galerie COA.
My image “dollhouse in a snowstorm (2019)” was used to illustrate another book from les herbes rouges - it’s been fun seeing my images take on a new life through other artist’s stories as book covers!
In other Montreal news, I have a selection of frames from my Puberty exhibition on display at Usine C this winter :
Here is my annual trend forecast for 2023 - a lot of these things have already been popular for a while but I feel like they will peak in trendiness this year 🌕
February 14th 2023, there will be a Memorial and March for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Trans and Two-Spirit People in Tiohtiá:ke (Montreal).
Beginning 6 pm at Atwater and Saint-Catherine (next to the old forum).
All my love,
Laurence
